What is a small group? A small group is 8-12 people who meet weekly for Bible study, prayer and fellowship. These groups can be men, women, married couples or singles. Back to Top
Why should I join a small group? Each of us needs to be in relationship with other people who are asking the same questions we're asking and facing the same challenges we're facing. A small group provides an opportunity for us to meet this need, establish friendships, find out what the Bible teaches us about our purpose, and discover how to live the life we were created for. When do small groups meet? Small groups meet at various times during the week for 1 ½ hours. Most meet on weeknights, but there are groups that meet on weekdays and weekends, as well. Back to Top
How long does a small group stay together? A small group meets initially for a 6-8 week "starter" period. During this time the group will complete a study and get to know each other better. At the end of that period, the group will decide whether to commit to continue meeting together for 12 months. If anyone in the group decides not to continue, they will attend the next GroupLink to find another group. The majority of groups will decide to commit to a 12 month period. At the end of the 12 months, the group can decide to continue meeting for another 6-12 months, or start new groups. Back to Top
How do I join a small group? At Copperfield, we offer GroupLink to help you get connected to a small group. When you register for GroupLink, we begin the process of helping you find a group that fits your availability and stage of life. When you come to GroupLink, we will help you connect with other people who are in your life stage and have similar schedules. Back to Top
What do I do about childcare for my children while I'm attending my small group? We offer childcare for groups that need it, whether they are meeting on or off-campus. On Wednesday nights, there is a place for your children in AWANA. On other weeknights and Sunday nights, Connection Zone will be open for pre-K through 5th graders. Connection Zone is a place where kids connect through play. It offers Xbox, PlayStation 2, Foosball, Air Hockey, crafts, and a moonwalk. Your kids will want you to come to small group! Quality childcare is also provided for children birth through three at the same times. Back to Top
