Dear Copperfield Church Family,

We are now in our second week of listening or reading through the New Testament as a church. I trust that you are finding the experience to be rewarding. Every time I read though the Word it speaks to me again. I find it really helps me to share what I am reading with others. I like to share it with my wife, my co-workers and with you. I hope you are sharing the journey with someone. Please feel free to let me know how the scripture is speaking to you.  A passage that spoke to me this week was in Luke chapter one.

1 Many have undertaken to draw up an account of the things that have been fulfilled among us, 2 just as they were handed down to us by those who from the first were eyewitnesses and servants of the word. 3 Therefore, since I myself have carefully investigated everything from the beginning, it seemed good also to me to write an orderly account for you, most excellent Theophilus, 4 so that you may know the certainty of the things you have been taught. Luke 1:1-4 (NIV)

Clearly Luke intended to strengthen our faith with his gospel. I don’t know about you but for me he has succeeded.

Blessings,

Larry Womack

Lead Pastor

Dear Friends,

Thanks for agreeing to participate in Faith Comes By Hearing. I know you will be blessed as you pray for one another, read, and/or listen to the New Testament for twenty eight minutes a day over the next 40 days.

I encourage you to find a good time in your daily routine to successfully complete this challenge.  My favorite time to listen is on the treadmill.  Some other good habits might be:

·        listen as you drive to work

·        play it while you clean the house or cook a meal

·        sit down with your Bible and follow along while you listen

However you choose to take the New Testament Challenge I am sure God is going to reward your effort.  Thanks for making this commitment with me!

Psalms 119:103 (NLT)
103 How sweet your words taste to me; they are sweeter than honey.

Psalms 119:105 (NLT)
105 Your word is a lamp to guide my feet and a light for my path.

Blessings,

Pastor Larry Womack

For Your Information

·        We have MP3 PLAYERS that are pre-loaded with the New Testament for $20 at the bookstore for those who would like them.

·        While reading the scripture is a reward in itself, everyone who finishes the New Testament will also receive a cool T-shirt…so let’s do this together!
